Following the success of the first series, "The Big Debate" returns to the eNews Channel and eTV with a new weekly series hosted by Redi Direko and produced in partnership with the Dinokeng Scenarios.  South Africans will again have a rare opportunity to tackle the most complex and controversial issues facing the country, together with ministers, business leaders, activists and experts.

Is BEE creating parasites?  Why do South Africans protest more than any other nation?  Should our mines be nationalised?  Is our foreign policy immoral?  These are just some of the questions to be tackled in this new series.  The common thread is provided by a central question raised by the Dinokeng Scenarios, namely: "Can we walk together as a nation, and if so, how?"

Catch The Big Debate every Wednesday at 21h00 on the eNews Channel (DSTV Channel 403) and every Friday at 10h00 on e, starting this coming Wednesday 4th November..  Also look out for the special Dinokeng Supplements in Independent Newspapers around the country every Monday.  The programmes will be rebroadcast each week on the eNews Channel at these times:   Thursday  23h00,  Friday 09h00, Friday 20h00, Saturday 06h00 and Sunday 08h00.

The Big Debate: Dinokeng Scenarios is supported by Nedbank, Old Mutual and the Open Society Foundation of South Africa. It is produced for eTV by the Broad Daylight Films Foundation.  For more information, visit
